Collectively Celebrates Moms

Mother's Day is fast approaching and here at Collectively we plan on sharing the love! Join us as we celebrate the best advice-givers, hair-braiders, hand-holders, and successful women we know by participating in our Instagram contest. Here’s how:

  • Post a photo of you and your mom to Instagram with hashtag #collectivelycelebrates
  • What memories do you have with your mom? What makes your bond special? What reminds you of her? Tell us!

All week long we'll be sharing photos of our moms, along with our memories of them and the things they love. Share your own photo on Instagram and tag @collectivelyinc for a chance to win the moms of Collectively’s favorite things, which will be revealed each day on our Instagram feed.

Follow us as we share our stories @collectivelyinc!

Posts must be made to public profiles and will be accepted by 6pm PST on May 12th. Winner will be announced on Twitter and Instagram May 13th.

"Some of my most treasured memories are cooking with my mom. She passed down her joy in creating delicious meals (and the skills to pull it off), and the importance of sharing them with people you love. I am continually inspired by her natural curiosity to keep learning, a trait that has taken her through Culinary School and kitchens around the world. She's such a badass, and makes this lamb better than Thomas Keller himself..." - CEO and Co-Founder Ryan, with her mom, Beth. See more on Instagram here.

"Lately I’ve been hosting dinners with friends more often. Every time I’m planning a menu or in the kitchen, I try and think about what my mom, Jean, would do. A favorite meal she’d serve for friends is a classic lasagna. It never fails. She’d be quick to point out that the best thing about it is that it allows you to focus on your guests and not be a hot mess in the kitchen! Cheers!" - Senior Manager of Collaborations, Caroline, and her mom, Jean. See more on Instagram here.

“My mom, Celeste, loves to read and passed down a love of books to me at an early age. We read a lot of books together when I was little and both of us still love reading right before bed. A few years ago she recommended Wallace Stegner's book Crossing to Safety to me and it's one of our mutual favorites--I'm re-reading it right now!”- Co-Founder and Head of Collaborations Alexa, and her mom, Celeste. "For every new beginning (seasons, jobs, birthdays, etc.) my mom and I celebrate with high tea. While the ritual itself is simple, it means so much to us both. Nothing reminds me more of an afternoon with my mom than a “hug in a cup” and french macarons. Our favorite? San Francisco macaron mecca, Chantal Guillon. It’s like we’re back in Paris!" - Social Media and Community Lead Mari, with her mom, Kathryn.

“My mom is my style icon, and I have always admired her natural beauty and effortless fashion. She has taught me that it’s important to take the time to do something for yourself, and we have enjoyed going to the spa together since I have been a young girl. To this day, we always make sure to take time out of our busy schedules to get a manicure or facial together. It’s great to just relax and enjoy each other's company.” - Collectively Collaborations Assistant, Meagan, with her mom, Liza. See more on Instagram here.
