Happy Monday! We're on a post-Alt Summit high, ready to think big, set goals and get to work. There is so much we want to share with you about our experience and learning’s from the conference, and we'll be doing so all month long!
First, we’d like to introduce you to a group of talented, driven women who are hard at work building blogs, personal brands and businesses. We had the opportunity to host these ladies at our Alt Summit opening night dinner and want to celebrate each one of them here on the blog.

Amanda Kingloff / Project Kid: Amanda’s 6 years as Lifestyle Director for Parents Magazine established her as an expert in the world of kids' crafts. In 2014, she released her book "Project Kid: 100 Ingenious Crafts for Family Fun" and it’s the ultimate guide for parents, kids and DIY lovers.
Jodi Levine / Super Makeit: This lifelong crafter has a passion that won’t let up! After graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), Jodi worked at Martha Stewart Living in the Craft Department for over 19 years. She has the ability to transform everyday items into unique ideas, which you can see on her blog or from either of her two books.
Nancy Soriano / Nancy Soriano Consulting: Nancy is an Editorial Director, brand builder and content strategist who's passionate about design, storytelling and building digital communities. She’s worked with tons of premium brands on various collaborations and integrations and is also the author of The Jewelry Recipe Book.
Tori Mistick / Marketing with Style: Tori is an expert in social media marketing, working as a freelancer for a variety of local businesses in Pittsburgh. On top of that, she runs a blog dedicated to her favorite things: fashion and her dogs.
Maria Stansberry / CRAFTNADO: After 15 years working the corporate life, Maria left her job to focus on the things that make her most happy: her kids, family, friends and fun, new projects. Now she puts her creativity first and is still deciding what’s next for CRAFTNADO.
DeAnn Barlow / hejletsGO: DeAnn’s vision is to build hejletsGO into a lifestyle brand and urban retreat center. As an urban dweller herself, she appreciates all that city life has to offer, but understands the need for a quick respite from the daily grind. We’re excited to see her dream come to fruition!
Kristen Loken / Kristen Loken Photography: Kristen is a passionate photographer capturing the magic in her life. When she's not looking through the lens, she loves perusing farmers markets, exploring the Bay Area and enjoying a nice glass of wine. She also recently published a photo-driven travel guide of her home city, Oakland, which we can’t wait to read!
Nicole Hudson / Find Your Sparkle: Nicole is the creator of Bot, a company dedicated to branding and social media. She has successfully built her business into a thriving consultancy for brands, bloggers, and businesses. The Toronto based gal is all about community, communication and connection. Oh, did we mention she is also a professional photographer?!
Winter Redd / The Redd Party: The Redd's are a fun-filled family documenting their every day lives, from travels to recipes and everything in between. Winter also knows the in’s and out’s of the Salt Lake City food scene and led a popular food tour for Alt attendees. One recommendation she passed along: Tony Caputo’s.
Rachel Curran / Recovering Corporate: When Rachel Curran quit her cooperate job in journalism she decided she needed a new creative outlet. Hence the creation of Recovering Cooperate, where she blogs about everything beyond the 9-5 life!
Rebecca Marco & Tiffany Walker / Pop and Banter: These friends, business partners and creators are on a mission to help you find what matters in your life! They serve up a fresh approach to wellness and living a balanced life.
Laurie Louis / LaurieLouis.com: Laurie is a maker + graphic designer specializing in wedding invitations and gifts for a variety of occasions. After 24 years in sports television, she made the decision to follow her passion and launch her own small business where she can put her creativity and designs first.
Dawn Laing / Nuvango: Dawn heads up Marketing and Communications for Nuvango, an art gallery and fashion lifestyle brand that sells seriously cute leggings and other apparel, housewares, artwork and more. She loves working for a company that celebrates art, where her passion for new ideas, fashion, and photography are supported.
Amanda Gentis / Handmade Mood: Amanda is one of the three talented women that make up the Handmade Mood team. Outside of the blog, she is a talented family and children’s photographer and a regular contributor to the Huffington Post.
Amelia Jones / Mae Woven: Amelia is the lovely owner of Mae Woven, an Etsy shop dedicated to her handmade works of arts, including breathtaking pillows. In addition to selling her goods on Etsy, Ameila has built up a strong Instagram channel as an extension of the Mae Woven brand.
Nina Tekwani / Nina Tekwani Photography: Nina is an insanely talented fashion and product photographer with a background in marketing. Her sought after aesthetic has her busy shooting for a variety of fashion bloggers in addition to being the in house photographer for Young Living Essential Oils.
Amanda Ross / Swag & Bloom: We’re excited to congratulate Amanda for her recent launch of Swag & Bloom. She has big plans for her site and we’re looking forward to seeing it evolve!
Allie Steele / Trainerdiaries: Allie is a fitness guru, nutrition specialist, and motivator passionate about helping others on their healthy living journey. She is currently developing her vision for an online community where she can offer her services and continue to help people live healthy active lifestyles.
Brooke Hatfield / Designers Collective: Brooke is one half of the creative duo that makes up Designers Collective, a design and lifestyle company that offers full service design services, workshops, design tours and more! The site is an educational resource and hub for design inspiration.
Nicole Calleen, Emily Frame & Jenna Rammel / Small Fry: Nicole, Emily and Jenna are the incredible team (and moms!) behind Small Fry - a space dedicated to children's lifestyle. Their combined talents of graphic design, fearlessness, and photography amount to a site filled with passion and fun.
Amanda Holstein / Advice From a Twenty Something: Not only was Amanda Collectively's incredible Alt Correspondent this year, she is also the beauty and brains behind Advice From a Twenty Something. Her blog started as an advice column and has turned into a resource for everyday women to find tips on all aspects of their lives.
