eos set out to assert its lip category leadership and evangelize its differentiated product development—to drive breakthrough innovation and deepen relationships with key influencers.
Overview
Equal parts R&D, product collaboration and immersion— our #eosflavorlab engagement kicked off at an influencer-produced event where select creators met with eos product development and marketing teams to exchange ideas about flavors to launch. Influencers brought their loyal fans along for the ride on social as they sat down for sessions with eos flavor experts to learn about the brand’s philosophy and innovations. Upon becoming more confident with sensory science, influencers presented their own flavored balms—kicking off development of six flavors.
Influencers then received prototypes of the flavors conceived at flavor lab. To continue building intrigue online, influencers described the products’ notes and had audiences guess the flavors via Instagram Stories. Once on shelves, influencers did what they do best for launch—supported by a large scale micro-influencer initiative—they told eos’ flavor innovation story in their own words and drove excitement for the products they helped develop.
