We’ve been hard at work behind the scenes and are thrilled to reveal that Collectively is launching a first-of-its-kind Generative AI creator residency program in partnership with The Brandtech Group. This innovative initiative is focused on identifying some of the best Gen AI creators working today and inviting them to share their expertise with our workforce and clients.

Creators will lead masterclasses for agency creatives, working together on final collaborative pieces. They will also be featured in video content, showcasing their journey and time in the residency. The ultimate goal is to glean valuable insights from the awe-inspiring creations that inspire our work and elevate our use of Gen AI in marketing.

The talented AI artists participating in the residency are James Gerde, Salma Aboukar, and Ryan Phillips—who are all exploring new creative frontiers using technology. Seattle-based filmmaker and AI animator, James Gerde, held our inaugural masterclass, sharing his unique workflow and demonstrating the tools he uses to craft stunning, human-like dancing forms from unexpected materials like spaghetti and plant life. During the session, he showcased his talent by creating a real-time video that seamlessly blended The Brandtech Group logo with his distinct style of animation—all in just about 40 minutes.

Reflecting on his experience, James Gerde shared with Initha Selvakumar at Campaign US, “Working with a team that understands and appreciates the technology made the process smoother. I had the freedom to be creative and really put my artistic stamp on the project.”

Next up, we have London-based Gen AI product photographer Salma Aboukar and AI director Ryan Phillips. These artists will continue to push the boundaries of AI artistry, helping us explore new dimensions and applications in the marketing world.
